Part I: TravelFlight to ShenzhenI took a flight from Beijing to Shenzhen. The flight was about 3 hours long and I had a window seat which gave me a great view of the clouds and the ground below. I was quite excited about the trip and couldn't wait to arrive in Shenzhen.Transfer to HuizhouAfter landing in Shenzhen, I took a bus from the airport to Huizhou. The bus ride was about 2 hours long and the scenery along the way was breathtaking. As we drove further into the city, I could see the skyline of Shenzhen in the distance.Exploring HuizhouOnce I arrived in Huizhou, I immediately started exploring the city. Huizhou is a beautiful city with many ancient buildings and beautiful scenery. I visited several temples and took many photos of the scenery. I also tried some local food like the famous Hui-style rice.Part II: InternshipIntroduction to the CompanyI started my internship at a technology company called "Alibaba". The company was founded by Jack Ma and is now one of the largest technology companies in the world. The company's main focus is on e-commerce, but it also has other businesses like cloud computing and finance.Assigned ProjectFor my internship, I was assigned to work on a project called "Alibaba World," which was a project that aimed to bring together all of the company's different businesses under one roof. My job was to help with the development of a new feature for the project that would allow users to create their own online stores on the platform.Work ScheduleDuring my internship, I usually worked from Monday to Friday. We had a morning meeting every day to discuss the progress of our projects and to plan for the day. Then we would work on our projects in the afternoon. I usually spent about 5-6 hours per day working on my project.Lunch BreakFor lunch, we had a cafeteria inside the company campus that served delicious Chinese food. I usually had lunch there with my colleagues. It was a great way to socialize and learn more about the company culture.Weekend ActivitiesOn weekends, I usually took the bus back to Shenzhen and spent time exploring the city with my friends. We would go shopping, try new restaurants, or visit temples and other tourist attractions. Sometimes we would also go hiking or camping in the mountains nearby.Part III: SummaryThis summer vacation was an unforgettable experience for me. Not only did I travel to a new place and explore it, but I also had the opportunity to work at a world-renowned company like Alibaba and learn more about technology and business. I learned a lot during my internship and made some great friends who worked there. This summer vacation was truly an unique and enriching experience that I will cherish forever.
