With his outstanding performance, Liu has won many major championships, including the Olympic Games and the World Championships.Early CareerLiu started his track and field career at the age of 13. He quickly showed his exceptional talent in the 110-meter hurdles and won the first place in the Shanghai Youth Olympic Games in 1999. In 2001, he entered the Chinese National Track and Field Team and started his professional track and field career.Career SuccessIn 2004, Liu Xiang participated in his first Olympic Games. At the age of 21, he won the first Olympic gold medal for the 110-meter hurdles. Since then, he has repeatedly set world records in this event and became China's first athlete to hold the world record since 1992.Liu Xiang continued to achieve success at the world level. In 2007, he won the 110-meter hurdles at the World Championships for the first time. He also achieved the perfect race that year by running the race with his shirt off.
